It is a commercial company whose main activity is the production, distribution and marketing of food products. The company incorporates the activities of production, distribution and commercialisation in food sector, such as milk, dairy products, juices, breakfast cereals, mineral water, egg derivatives, soft drinks and animal feed. It was founded in 1969 when Tomas Pascual Sanz took charge, at the request of the Caja de Ahorros de Burgos, of a small milk cooperative that had gone bankrupt. In 1999, the company was the first European company to attain the exacting certification from the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA), in accordance with the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO). Grupo Leche's registered office is located in Aranda De Duero, Spain. The company's product lines include milk, cereals, milk shakes, juices, butter, cream, mineral water, desserts, yoghurts pascual, and yoghurts PMI. Its product brands include Pascual (milk, shakes, mega cereals, corn flakes, masvital, butter, rice pudding, egg custards, yoghurt, and muesli among others); PMI (flavours yoghurts and fruits yoghurts); and Pascual Vivesoy (Vivesoy cereals). The company has distribution networks in North America, the Caribbean, Europe, North and West Africa, Asia, Angola, Middle East and East Africa, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It has its production plants in Rute, Cordoba; Cantabria; Palma del Rio, Cordoba; Gurb, Barcelona; Tres Casas, Segovia; Bezoya; Montauban; Aranda de Duero; Valladolid; and Tarragona.
